The week of work behind the launch: what comes in the zip, how each copy is marked, and how to withdraw online.
- Every download now includes docs/00-START-HERE.txt and MANIFEST.txt. Both are generated from the zip itself, so they always match what is in it. They list every file you own and what you can do with it.
- Each download is stamped with its licence: a licence number, a fingerprint and a trace line in every text file. None of this changes what the printer does.
- Before your first download, your account asks you to agree to immediate delivery and e-mails you a confirmation, as the law requires for digital content.
- You can withdraw from a purchase online at mech-ams.com/withdrawal. It takes your statement, e-mails you an acknowledgement with the date and time, and works without an account.
- The download page in your account lists every file by its path, so you can find a file without opening the zip first.
- Every public page was checked with a screen reader and a keyboard, on desktop and phone.
